Fabiola Beatriz Osorio

Associate Professor
Universidad de Chile, Chile

I am an Associate Professor of Immunology at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Universidad de Chile, where I lead a research program focused on dendritic cell (DC) biology. I received my PhD in Immunology and Molecular Pathology from University College London – Cancer Research UK (UK) and completed my postdoctoral training at the VIB Research Institute in Belgium.

My research investigates the molecular mechanisms by which DC sense and integrate cellular stress signals to regulate innate and adaptive immune responses. My work has provided key insights into how stress-responsive pathways control DC activation, antigen presentation, and immune homeostasis, with broad implications for inflammation, infection, cancer, and chronic disease.

As a group leader based in Latin America, I am deeply committed to fostering the next generation of immunologists in the region, advancing both scientific excellence and global engagement.
